Tahran
Tahran uses fine parallel outlines to repeat pointed arch frames across the carpet. The lines define the boundaries between the inner panels and their surrounds. Sloping crowns join the straight sides through small angular transitions, and horizontal lines complete each frame at the base. The broad plain interiors give emphasis to the outlines, creating a regular composition in which ornament follows the panel edges.
